Technology Overview
ATS technology built upon the development of novel hydrogels that can be used as a cryotherapeutic for injury and disease management. Cryotherapy is described as using ‘cold’ to treat disease and/or injury. The application of cold has been well accepted since before Hippocrates and is a key component within the first aid treatment R.I.C.E. (Rest. Ice. Compress. Elevate). The notion that ‘cold’ or even ‘cool’ can reduce pain and the onset of inflammation are essential characteristics that the ATS hydrogel technology embraces.
The two proprietary polymeric systems are inherently cool. Additionally, these systems are eco-friendly and biodegradable. As an eco-friendly biotechnology company, ATS strives to produce products with an environmentally conscious mindset.
